Known as the Finback Whale, Herring Whale or Razorback whale, the Fin Whale is the second largest cetacean living on Earth, behind the Blue Whale. The largest Fin Whales can grow up 89.6 feet long, with a possible maximum weight of 126 tonnes. Described as the greyhound of the sea, the Fin Whale is the only species of whale known to live in the Mediterranean Sea.

In recent times, the Fin Whale has become vunerable as it was heavily hunted in the 20th century for it's oil and blubber.
